Meet Toussaint: a boundary-breaking singer, songwriter, and producer working at the intersection of experimental pop, alternative R&B, neo-electronica, rock, and ambient sound. Rooted in classical piano training and shaped by a multidisciplinary background in music, film, and performance, their work defies convention and embraces a visceral, emotionally driven approach to storytelling. Through textured production, polyphonic vocal exploration, and cinematic sound design, Toussaint creates expansive sonic worlds that invite listeners into deeply felt and transformative experiences.

Their sonic journey first unfolded with the debut EP Ethereal, which culminated in a sold-out release concert and established Toussaint as a compelling live performer. Since then, they have continued to present their work across Toronto through curated showcases, interdisciplinary events, and collaborative performances, building a reputation for immersive, emotionally charged live experiences that merge music, visuals, and performance.

As an alum of the RBC x Artscape Launchpad Music Entrepreneurship Program, Soundstock Academy, and Small World Music, Toussaint approaches their practice not only as an artist but as a world-builder and creative entrepreneur. In 2025, they received a Research and Creation grant from the Canada Council for the Arts to develop their debut album Cicada, an interdisciplinary project exploring rebirth, transformation, and memory through experimental sound, Japanese punk and electronic influences, and film.

As they continue to refine their artistry, Toussaint remains committed to pushing the boundaries of what it means to be an artist today. Their work is a celebration of individuality and emotional honesty, offering an anthem for those who have ever felt like outsiders.
